Interesting quiz and a good idea. There seems to be some inconsistencies whether the name or function is accepted eg integral versus integration. Or theta versus sigma (where sigma wasn't accepted).
Good quiz! I think this would work better without the functions, since they're pretty obvious from their abbrevations. Maybe add some things like ∩ ≥ ≈ ∞ ∊ instead?
Damn it, I tried 'exponent', 'exponentiate', 'to the power of', 'index', 'indices', 'raise to the power of', but makes sense that it's (the process of) exponentiation! Agree with Quizzy69 RE inconsistencies. Thanks for the good quiz!
For consistencies sake, if you accept "plus" and "minus" for addition and subtraction you should accept "times" for multiplication. "Power" and "exponent" would be good for exponentiation as well.
I can tell PacotilleMan has made changes in response to the comments - thank you! As someone who tried many variations on differentiation there's still a least one question that could do with some alternatives. Nice quiz.
More suggestions! "Modulus" and "absolute" for absolute value, "differential" and/or "differentiation" for derivative (following the pattern of addition, subtraction etc.) "Angle" for theta - "theta" on its own doesn't seem to say anything, it's just the name of the letter. Enjoyed the quiz - nice to have something on maths rather than the usual interminable geography - thank you!
