Did it just in time! But I spent all my summer vacations as a child in France, spotting numberplates to while away the long drives.

almost impossible to do in the time provided. French Guyana is ''Guiane'' in French or ''French Guiana'' in other quizzes here, never ever seen it called ''Guyanne'' anywhere

All these departments are under french naming. Therefore, it is 'Guyane' in French.

If that is the case then why has it been misspelled as Guyanne?

The French language equivalent quiz on this website allows ten minutes to complete their version, so the five minutes allocated here is very meagre. The same quiz also accepts the shortened names of certain départements eg Belfort instead of the more cumbersome Territoire de Belfort. A little more leniency and time would be appreciated.
