That's a really nice idea. Thanks - Moscow as the Third Rome represented! You might have already considered and discarded Romania (there's a lot of claiming of cultural linkage from ancient Dacia) and to some extent - and this may be a stretch - the USA's constitution was homage to some Classical ideas and the later idea of a Pax Romana/ Pax Americana. Macmillan (UK PM 1957-63) made a parallel that maybe Britain was Greece to JFK's America's Rome.
