U.S. States in the Eastern Time Zone

Um--Many states are split between two time zones. Some of those listed here as Eastern have Central portions as well: Indiana (Indianapolis is Eastern; the western slice is Central), Michigan (Eastern but for the far west of the U.P.), Florida (oddly, a bit of the panhandle is Central), and Tennessee (Nashville is on Central time).

OTOH, half of Kentucky (including Louisville and Lexington) is on Eastern time. To be consistent, if Indiana is included here, Kentucky should be too.

I suspect for the large cities the time zone chosen depends on whether businesses are oriented toward New York or Chicago.
