Good quiz. Please allow Sao/São Paulo (which is the correct spelling).

Sorry, I accidentally changed the type-in instead of the display name!

I don't get the "Capitals west of the 20th west meridian" answer. After looking at the Wikipedia pages for "20th meridian west" and "Lisbon", I still don't get it.

Fixed, my bad.

The other longitude question has me scratching my head, too. Iceland appears to lie on the 18th meridian west. What land does Mexico have on that meridian?

I'm not sure about that one. I checked the answers and the answers are correct as well as the prompt being 117th, not 18th. Setting the formatting to Auto and back to Manual fixed it, but I'm not sure why that happened.

The 17th West meridian passes through the extreme western part of north Africa -- through Mauritania and Senegal. I get that Dakar is a correct answer, but don't get how Apia and Nuku'alofa are correct -- although it appears that they may be the first two capitals west of the 117th meridian. It looks like two of the answers read the question as the 117th and one of the answers reads it as the 17th???

Not sure what I was doing there. Thank you for pointing this out!

What is up with the 17th meridian one? The entirety of the Americas is west of it (assuming you stop at the antemeridian, technically everything is west of everything else because sphere).

I don't really know, to be honest. I'll remove it.

I'm sulking because you did not accept Ivory Coast, East Timor or NZsign.

Fun quiz.

Manhattan is spelled incorrectly. I actually tried Manhatten too just in case, and that wasn't accepted either!

(Like the commenter above I tried Ivory Coast, East Timor and NZ. I get that the first too aren't the exact answers to that specific question, but they are common type-ins on JP.)

Sorry about that, fixed. I also changed the type-ins to be more lenient.
