I know there is some confusion over what counts as dependencies, but there are some here that are definitely NOT dependencies: Guadeloupe, Martinique, Bonaire, Saba, Sint Eustatius, French Guiana, Mayotte, Réunion, and Palmyra Atoll are integral, incorporated parts of their country and should not be included on this list.

Also, JetPunk considers the island of Cyprus as part of Asia, so Akrotiri and Dhekelia should be put in the Asia column.

I believe Svalbard and Jan Mayen are the same dependency as well, and they should probably be one answer.

South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands are in Antarctica similar to Bouvet and Heard and McDonald Islands. Jan Mayen is similar to the French overseas regions and the Caribbean Netherlands (Bonaire, Saba, Sint Eustatius) in being an integral part of Norway and administered as part of a mainland county.

Fun quiz, thanks. I would agree with others that you could improve by being more accurate about placing dependencies in the correct continent - e.g. S Georgia in Antarctica and Akrotiri in Asia. Also maybe add a remark about including lands S of the 60 degree mark - i.e. the area covered by the Antarctic Treaty. I was looking for islands N of that such as Kerguelen. All signatory countries have agreed to shelve (not abandon) territorial claims for 50 years - and hopefully for ever.

In the Antartica column, the country hint to the answer "Australian Antarctic Territory" is wrongly "UK", instead of "Australia".

What about the South Orkneys and South Shetlands?

There are also the Prince Edward Islands belonging to South Africa, not sure they are counted as an overseas territory though.

While I agree with the Australia thing, the South Shetlands and South Orkneys are part of the British Antarctic Territory. The Prince Edward Islands are an integrated part of South Africa

Where is Argentine Antarctica and Chilean Antarctic Territory, and we can’t forget about Easter Island.
