US States by Temperature Range

Name the 10 US states with the largest and smallest ranges between their record high and record low temperature.
Some judgement calls have been made for three states with dubious data
For instance, a state with a record high of 118 degrees and a record low of -33 degrees would have a range of 151 degrees

Consider:

Very large states will tend to have larger ranges.

Very mountainous states, especially coastal ones, will tend to have larger ranges.

By definition, tropical or subtropical states will tend to have smaller ranges.
