I know that some of these are very challenging, but I had a difficult time trying to figure that out up front. Once the quiz is taken a fair number of times, I'll switch out some of the answers to make it a bit easier.

Liguria is neither of those, it's a region. It currently has one team in Serie A and two in Serie B though

Lucius Verus was a Roman emperor - so Lucius would fit that clue as well as the pope one.

Otherwise, fun quiz and unique idea.

I think there is a typo: "gomiti" is a pasta, but the quiz has "gomti"

Don't make it easier!

I did terribly (despite learning Italian for ten years...), but that's the fun of it - now I can learn a lot of new stuff, and then come back and hopefully eventually ace it!

About Caius... Caligula is actually also known as Caius/Gaius (his proper name), so it would be better chage that one

Good catch. I was not aware that Caius/Gaius were interchangeable. I have now replaced Caius with a different pope.

I think it would make more sense to say "football team" in the title, I assumed (obviously foolishly) that you meant current serie A teams. I'd rather an accurate title than an accurate description

14/32 which isn't bad considering I don't know what a "serie A team" is and just looked for "Face" "Hannibal" "BA" and "Murdock" from the only A-Team I know.

As an Italian I can confirm that Perugia and Empoli are in Serie B (2nd division), Triestina and Foggia are in Serie C (3rd division) and Reggina is in Serie D (4th Division).

But don't worry it's still a good quiz!
