Answer
360° walkaround
Enter BHL and put on seatbelt
Start engine
Raise FEL and fully dump bucket
Lower FEL until front wheels are 2" off ground
Push seat back and rotate
Adjust seat and work station
Turn on pilot control switch
Set RPMs to 1200 and lower stabilizers until level with front
Release boom and increase RPMs to 1800
Fully extend boom, dipper, and bucket to make safety arc
Set bucket at 30° angle and make marking cut
Place spoil on uphill side of trench
Repeat process until required depth reached
Set up for pushoff
Fully dump bucket and set dipper at 90°
Lower boom until bucket teeth touch the ground
Reduce RPMs to 1200-alternate raising stabilizers 12'-raise FEL 12'
Release parking brake
Lower boom until slight lifting is felt
Slowly push off with dipper
Ensure bucket stays on ground-move forward between 1.5-2 pads
Reset-pull parking brake-fully dump and lower FEL
Lower stabilizers-1800 RPMs
Continue process until complete (park in open trench configuration)
Reconfigure BHL into travel configuration
Backfill trench
Dozer configuration when pushing from side (level-open-lower) 1/2" off ground
Scraper configuration
Back drag-in float. Count from 1-100 to 3-1000, raise bucket at 4-1000 and again at 5-1000.
