Wikipedia seems to say there aren't any wolves in Cyprus: "In 2023, wolves have been detected across all EU Member States except Ireland, Cyprus and Malta".

I have my doubts but there's a report that they shoot and/or poison wolves there, so apparently they exist.

Yes, although geographically in Asia, I don't associate it much with Asia while thinking about the different Asian countries. But this doesn't change the fact that Cyprus is geographically in Asia.

I've lived in the UAE for 18 years, and I've heard stories of wolves roaming near the mountainous areas near Oman. I've never seen them though outside a zoo

?? Just about every quiz I've seen puts the boundary between the Sunda islands and New Guinea. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "typically", but certainly not by JetPunk's standard.

The only argument I've heard is whether you should include the Indonesian half of New Guinea as being in Asia, with most arguing that you should not.

Seeing how the DMZ has sightings of Asiatic black bears and possibly even leopards/tigers among other endangered species, I'd be shocked if it didn't also have some wolves living in it. And it technically belongs to both the Koreas...
