T should definitely count for The Gambia, since that is the official short form name of the country (not like Comoros, etc.)

The logic is the same for all countries (so the Netherlands for the Europe version): no T even if the country names are known with an article.

I agree. But the same must apply to any use of the definite article in any language. So (in other quizzes) consider El Salvador, Los Angeles, Le Havre etc.

Title is misleading: you are only given the flag, but you have to guess the first letter.

I don't plan to rename the whole series. The title,if not perfect, seems meaningful for most users.

Africa should consolidate into fewer countries. Many of them seem to want essentially the same flag. How's the East African Federation coming along by the way?
