I had the idea to use Additional hints in this quiz to specify the number of possible countries for each statement but I feared it would make the quiz too easy. Maybe should I reconsider the idea then :)
And is distracting imo. Other quizzes that do not have it worked just fine and I like them better personally.
Still, it is fun so will nominate :)
Nice quiz though :)
They say capital starts with a vowel and I chose Canada
... got it wrong
You have to eliminate the other countries fitting this category until there's only one remaining.
also, it's time for this to get featured
Maybe a matter of weeks now, or at least I hope so! :)
Btw at first I assumed the "Possible" display would count down with picking correct answers so they would not be available anymore. (Hope you know what I mean, despite that very clumsy sentence)
Nominated, we need more puzzle like quizzes :)
Considering the above comments, I decided to disable this extra hint, to make the quiz consistent with my other Logical elimination quizzes.
Edit: I'm sad the hints were removed.
Everything has been said already; but as no one listens we must always begin again.
Cheers Elboy :)
"Click the UNIQUE country that matches the statement. If more than one answer matches, jump to the next question and proceed by elimination until all countries are eliminated."
Good quiz, I like these types and it took me more attempts than I’m willing to admit but got there in the end.
It just seemed like a weird "gotcha!" clue mixed in to an otherwise very logical and clear quiz.
It seems that those three answers are a logical loop. That is, the required answer is not the unique answer.
Let me show you why. Japan is the only country left with 5 letters, because the others are already taken (smallest, most populous, Arab language)
For Asian country now only Indonesia is left (others were taken by smallest, most populous, 5 letters)
I think where you went wrong is by thinking Brazil has 5 letters
There are 3 questions you can start with that has only 1 answer. Most questions have multiple answers. But as soon as one is used as an answer already, that one is not eligible anymore. So the options get more limited as you go.
Like at first there are 2 landlocked countries, but one is already the (only) answer for another question. So that one is gone, then there is only one correct answer left.
If this is too abstract for you let me try it with another example. Let's say you have a red ball, a green ball, a green box, an orange box and a red pyramid.
If you are asked for something red or green or a box or a ball, there are multiple options. But if you are asked for something orange and you hand it over, then when asked for a box, you only have the green one left. If you are then asked for something green, you only have a green ball left. If you are then asked for a ball, you only have the red ball left, and finally when
Hope this has helped a bit.
(So yes, both the pyramid and ball are red, but the red ball has already been used (and the red ball needed to be chosen, because the green ball was already used etc)
Edit btw, you sort of attacked/tried to tackle the problem from the wrong end, you need to find answers to the questions, not questions for the answers ;)
I start with a vowel, I click India
It says incorrect. What a waste of time
NZ is a constitutional monarchy, nothing more to add.
