That was fun. I wasn’t confident in Tanzania’s equator status, so that made things tougher! Also, time on this one could be 6 minutes, perhaps? I had to refresh the page and restart about 3/4 the way though. Anyway, wonderful series!

Aw that's never easy to find the good difficulty balance. I start by adding 1 extra minute.

I had the idea to use Additional hints in this quiz to specify the number of possible countries for each statement but I feared it would make the quiz too easy. Maybe should I reconsider the idea then :)

These hints indeed have an effect on results(from 60% to 66.7% correct today) but I'm not sure this make the quiz too easy either. I'll keep the additional hints for now but could change my mind if the results reach around 80%.

I'm not sure it is better either, it doesn't really help you with picking the correct answer itself, it just gives you the information which question would give you better odds to just guess.

And is distracting imo. Other quizzes that do not have it worked just fine and I like them better personally.

Still, it is fun so will nominate :)

Great quiz! Confused as the one I got wrong was the located entirely on islands question which I chose Indonesia for but it came back wrong, I’m not sure how that is wrong😂

It also fits other clues e.g. starts with a vowel. But there is only one way to match every one of the countries with a right answer - getting a "right" only happens with that question, not with the others that are true. Best to cycle through the questions, to graduate eliminate options.

I think the red and white flag question should say 5 are possible (Canada, Indonesia, Japan, Qatar, Switzerland). Some people would argue against Qatar but it's on the featured red and white flags quiz.

Nice quiz though :)

True but this is an elimination quiz where each country can only be used once. You have to cycle thru all the questions to see where each country will fit. Most answers have more than one possibility at first until you eliminate a country from another answer.

Fun but hard work! I stumbled and fell at the monarchy question.

Btw at first I assumed the "Possible" display would count down with picking correct answers so they would not be available anymore. (Hope you know what I mean, despite that very clumsy sentence)

I totally understand what you mean but it's not possible to make the "Possible" value change each time you pick a correct one. From this point of view, maybe the displayed value could ultimately be misleading.

Considering the above comments, I decided to disable this extra hint, to make the quiz consistent with my other Logical elimination quizzes.

There is only one set of answers where you end up with a correct response for every option. The point is to eliminate the possibilities by finding a question where there is only one correct response, then go back to the others.

Polite request to switch the "monarchy" question. I get it. New Zealand is technically a monarchy, but in practice, it isn't. This would be less of an issue if the "monarchy" clue weren't the only way to distinguish New Zealand from Cuba. I got down to those two (and the "remaining" country) and couldn't determine whether "monarchy" in this instance referred to New Zealand's hyper-technical status as a monarchy or the fact that Cuba is a one-party state ruled by a person who isn't really subject to challenge. And yes, yes. I know. "Monarchy" means "ruled by a king," and Diaz-Canel isn't a king. And Charles is the "King of New Zealand." But how often does he rule like a king there?

It just seemed like a weird "gotcha!" clue mixed in to an otherwise very logical and clear quiz.

+3
Level 75
Sep 30, 2025
This is clearly the most technical question of the quiz and you gave the complete reasoning to follow to distinguish the remaining countries. So for that reason I won't change this clue. I fully assume that it's a trickier one than other clues here.

How is it wrong for me to say that Japan is an Asian country, Brazil is 5 letters long, and Indonesia is crossed by the equator? Instead the quiz insists on the answers that Indonesia is an Asian country, Japan is 5 letters long, and Brazil is crossed by the equator.

It seems that those three answers are a logical loop. That is, the required answer is not the unique answer.

+3
Level 76
Oct 1, 2025
First Brazil is 6 letters long so would never be right. As for the others, it is not wrong to say Japan is in Asia, and that Indonesia is crossed by the equator, but they aren't the correct answers in this quiz.

Let me show you why. Japan is the only country left with 5 letters, because the others are already taken (smallest, most populous, Arab language)

For Asian country now only Indonesia is left (others were taken by smallest, most populous, 5 letters)

I think where you went wrong is by thinking Brazil has 5 letters

A really fun concept for a quiz, but if I'm not being thick, it doesn't quite make sense? i mean, you can eliminate a few off the bat in the categories where only one applies like most populated. Then you try to eliminate others based on them only having one category that applies to them, like Brazil only fits the category of the equator passing through, and while you may be lucky and get that correct, it's not actually a strategic elimination because of the "the country left" category which means every country can apply to at least 2 categories at all times. Remove that category and the quiz would be great.
+1
Level 76
Oct 1, 2025
Hate to break it to you but you may be slightly thick :D

There are 3 questions you can start with that has only 1 answer. Most questions have multiple answers. But as soon as one is used as an answer already, that one is not eligible anymore. So the options get more limited as you go.

Like at first there are 2 landlocked countries, but one is already the (only) answer for another question. So that one is gone, then there is only one correct answer left.

If this is too abstract for you let me try it with another example. Let's say you have a red ball, a green ball, a green box, an orange box and a red pyramid.

If you are asked for something red or green or a box or a ball, there are multiple options. But if you are asked for something orange and you hand it over, then when asked for a box, you only have the green one left. If you are then asked for something green, you only have a green ball left. If you are then asked for a ball, you only have the red ball left, and finally when

+1
Level 76
Oct 1, 2025
asked for something red, you only have the red pyramid left.

Hope this has helped a bit.

(So yes, both the pyramid and ball are red, but the red ball has already been used (and the red ball needed to be chosen, because the green ball was already used etc)

Edit btw, you sort of attacked/tried to tackle the problem from the wrong end, you need to find answers to the questions, not questions for the answers ;)

This is a great quiz and I absolutely love the concept which is new to me. I just cannot help nittpicking a little bit: when the time comes to eliminate Indonesia as the only Asian country remaining, Egypt is still on offer, and since the Sinai peninsula which is part of Asia once again belongs to Egypt, that makes it also a (partially) Asian country (even if that part is admitedly minute). Perhaps you could change the hint to "I am the only country located entirely in Asia"? I apologise if someone else already made this comment and I overlooked it.

The fact that both Greece and Tanzania can be either bordering the Mediterrenean and "last remaining country" makes this a non-unique solution
