You're all right, my bad. Huffington Post is a bad source. I've added those answers in.

Great quiz.

Interesting that five were elected, four inherited the office after assassination, and four inherited the office from natural death. A VP has about equal odds of becoming president by any of those methods. Pence could be the second by resignation, or the first by impeachment.

Also interesting that there was a 132 year gap between VPs getting elected, from Van Buren to Nixon, during which time (all) eight VPs became president due to the elected president's death.

Thanks sumguy! I thought it was an interesting trend to make a quiz on. Based on your analysis, it seems we think similarly :)

Weird distinction drawn between death/assassination here. But I suppose it's helpful since it's common knowledge which presidents were assassinated in office.

Tyler, the first to succeed to the office because of the death of the President, was called "His Accidency."

I see there are only two presidents who previously served as vice president under a president who previously served as vice president.

Seems like VPs don't make very good Presidents, with 3–4 exceptions.

The way we're going now, it seems we'll have to hope that for five more years.
