Great quiz! Btw, India’s de facto forest area is apparently 3 % and not 24-25 %.

The definition of ‘forest’ was apparently tweaked in 2001 to include plantations, orchards, parks etc, to make the percentage larger on paper. These are not forests.

Successive governments seem have gone with this and have even enlarged the ‘definition’ of ‘forests’.

It’s easier to change a definition to show supposed progress than to change the ground reality.
