Please allow Horace Greeley as an answer for the runner-up in 1872. He died after becoming runner-up in the election but before the Electoral College met, so his electoral votes were cast for several others including Henricks.

Yeah I was debating on adding that but the language in the caveat is "Runner-up is the person who received the most electoral votes except for the winner", which is Hendricks given that Greeley only ended up receiving 3 electoral votes.

I'll add it as an option though, thanks for the feedback!

According to the caveat shouldn't Aaron Burr be the answer for 1800, they received more electoral votes then John Adams did.

You're totally right! I just changed it (though it still allows Adams as an answer given he is the more common understanding of a runner-up)

I like this quiz but when I typed in joe Biden it did not work so I had to type in Joseph Biden instead lol
