I'd suggest you replace it maybe with the Isle of Dogs, which is really a peninsula so it's not an island, except it's been dug through, so it is now a real island. Sneaky enough?
...so I understand what you're trying to get at, but Rhode Island is an actual island (as well as the name of the state that's mostly on the mainland).
The main island in the state is commonly called Aquidneck, but its official name, according to the US Board on Geographic Namesis still "Rhode Island." (Record with feature_id 1218141 in their geodatabase.)
