You want to go on a European tour! Unfortunately, this is the best you can afford. Guess the names of each city/town that have copycats in the Lone Star State.
For those cities whose local names are used (eg. København), the English name is accepted.
Each answer's European city is usually not too far from the previous one, for the most part, so it sort of takes the path of a real continental tour. Hope you enjoy!
I don't understand the clue about the oldest dance hall in Texas. From everything I've ever heard (and can find now on the internet), that superlative belongs to Gruene Hall in New Braunfels. Even London's Wikipedia page mentions nothing about a dance hall. I found an article about London Hall, but it said it opened in 1900, 12 years after Gruene Hall...
Great idea for a quiz. I got 15 of them straight off the bat, one took a bit of thinking, the peri-penultimate one is a great clue (but it flew straight over my head, until I saw the answer) and the last one stumped me as well. Again, when I saw the answer…duh!
The least guessed answer I had never heard of, looks like a good few people found it tricky too. Cool quiz though.
Sensibility ought be left at home before embarking on a state wide driving tour of Texas. Depending on the time of day and city, it may also be practical look into a Mad Max zombie vehicle, body armor, and a dash cam so your glory can be fully witnessed.
The locations are ordered in terms of the distances of their European counterparts, not the ones in Texas – if anyone wants to undertake and document such a road trip, I would tune into that for sure!
Took me a long time to get past Leon for clue 7. Northern Spain, check. Nuevo in Mexico, check. But there's only San Leon by Galveston, or Leon County in Texas.
I was looking at a map of Texas the other day, surprised to see how many cities are also places in Europe! Love seeing this quiz. Was going to be an instant nomination… but it’s already featured, as it should be! Congrats nromero02, and love the unique and original idea!

Harlingen would be a good addition as a Dutch city ;)
Great quiz—thanks!
