There does seem to be inconsistent acceptance of specific minerals vs groups - why does muscovite appear for 'mica', but not biotite? Is amphibole a mineral or a type of mineral? Why does augite not show up for 'pyroxene'?

Also upon further digging, I believe hornblende amphibole (forgot to specify) can be used to refer to a dark amphibole. I just made this quiz to memorize rocks for a semester geology course :P
You do realize geologists identify minerals based on a wide variety of physical characteristics such as hardness, specific gravity, crystal habit, streak, occurrence/depositional environment, luster, etc. You really need photos that better exhibit more of these traits.
