Variety of individuals that range in shape and color; includes: stilbite, heulandite, phillipsite, chabazite, natrolite - the most common form; natrolite, often translucent needle-like crystals, form spherical aggregates, and clusters; name derived from the Greek words 'zeo' and 'lithos' meaning "to boil" and "stone"
Zeolite
Variety of quartz commonly found in mountainous regions; is pure white, either opaque or translucent; when impurities give colour it's known as common quartz; can reflect light from great distances
Milky quartz
Has a luminous moon-like glow; gem-quality form of the mineral gypsum; very soft - easily scratched by fingernails; named after the Greek goddess of the moon, Selene
