As for South Sudan, I concur, it should be on the list as it is more eastern than South Africa.
Also where's Samoa?
The easternmost point in South Sudan is at 35°57' E, at the tripoint with Kenya and Ethiopia, on a small (unnamed?) island in the Omo River delta area where it empties into Lake Turkana.
The easternmost point of South Africa on mainland is where the border with Mozambique meets the Indian Ocean, at 32°53' E, which indeed would be farther west.
However, the figure this quiz uses is 38°00' E, which would put it on the Prince Edward Islands, a small group of offshore islands 1,710km (1,065mi) off the country's SE coast. This is the "true" easternmost land point of South Africa, and is in fact east of the above point for South Sudan.
TL;DR yep the quiz has it right. South Africa is one of the 10 easternmost countries in the world, South Sudan is not.
