if you counted bahrain as part of the arabian peninsula, even though it is an island nation, then you should count singapore as part of the malay peninsula as well.

Technically, Gibraltar is a peninsula on its own. But you're right, if they count Qatar for the Arabian Peninsula they should count Gibraltar for the Iberia Peninsula.
