Escape the Lab Room

When I was a boy, I wanted to decorate our Christmas tree with those shiny plastic rope looking strands, you know the ones that are silver and move around with the slightest breeze…oh yeah, tinsel! So, we drove to the store to get some. We ended up only getting a short length because of the ridiculous price. And then the cashier also charged us for the bag! They nickel and dime you on anything they can. My dad wasn’t the happiest about it, and on the way home he took it out on the poor gas pedal. Which would normally lead to us getting home faster, but not this time. This time it resulted in flashy lights and a siren trailing us from one of the local coppers. After pulling us over, he had us all get out of the car and take a knee on the ground. He asked if we knew where we were kneeling. Obviously, we didn’t, and that’s when he informed us of something quite strange. He said it’s very important to get rid of canoeing. Whenever he comes across canoes, this is where he likes to bury ‘em. Weird huh? Then, as we were leaving, he was muttering something about the importance of getting rid of parabens until they are gone…? I decided to tell you this long-winded story on paper, as to not use oxygen by speaking (although the irony is that paper comes from trees – oh well!)
