Cheers! Glad you enjoyed. And it is certainly very challenging. The world map doesn't take a very recognisable form until the mid 1800's.

How do you make maps like this? I have all but given up on this kind of thing!

This one in particular was pretty hard to make, I essentially had to find a reference for each individual country at that time period, and then add it to the grey map of the world (which I created using Jetpunk's standard map of the world).

However, most maps are quite simple to make. The primary ways are via downloading existing SVG maps/existing featured Jetpunk maps, tracing PNG images in Inkscape and/or drawing based on reference from another map. I have gained loads of experience from hours of just messing around in Inkscape really. Some larger projects tend to take a while, it's not often I'd make a map of this sort. Feel free to ask me anything about map-making, though. I'm by no means a tech-wizard but I don't mind trying to help at all!

That will work now. Considering it's Turkic name translates to "great state" I think it's fair.

“Rajput” should be a type-in for “Rajputna”

“Connacht” should be a type-in for “Connaught”

“Vijayanagar” should be a type-in for “Vijayanagara”

“Georgia” should be a type-in for “Imereti”

“Cospaia” should be a type-in for “Cospia”

And probably “Sennar” should be a type-in for “Funj”

Second this, didn't get Connacht because of it. Also, Egypt should be a type-in for the "Mamluk Sultanate". Mamluk refers to the ruling class, not the name of the country. There were other countries ruled by Mamluks, and contemporaries referred to the place as Egypt as they do today.

Nice quiz! I would like to add that the Deccan and Rajputana (misspelled as Rajputna) consisted of several states in 1494.
