Kent is closer to Cleveland than Cedar Point is (source: I've made the drive to both from Cleveland frequently).

Interesting question about the movie-- "set" in Cleveland, but filmed in Milwaukee, with a few scenes shot in Tucson. The shots of actual Cleveland were B-roll. The actors never went to Cleveland. Just to add some trivia to the trivia.

I forgot the exact locations of the Great Lakes so had to take a guess. The rest were pure guesswork, which all missed.

Re: Cuyahoga River, there are no pictures of the 1969 fire as it was a small fire that was quickly extinguished, and it was not considered newsworthy -- news focused on the damage to a railroad bridge rather than the river catching fire. All photos are from previous fires. Yes, the river catching fire was considered "routine"
