New Mexico is 82% and Michigan is 28%. I'm confused how Michigan is so low... Didn't most people for New Mexico put Rio Grande? If so, then the Grand River for Michigan automatically fills in.

Ahh nvm, I think I got it. Ppl probably typed in "Rio Grande." I just typed in "Grande," which is why the Grand River automatically filled in. I lucked out I guess cause I never would've gotten Michigan otherwise.

Anyway, great quiz Haschtee!

Right, I got all answers except Michigan, which is tough. I should have thought of Grand Rapids, which must be on the Grand River. Typing "Rio Grande" does not cause the Grand River to fill in. Great quiz!

Exclusively trying state names nets you thirty-six. Not too bad.

Question for fellow quiz-takers: Do you consider it cheating to look at already-revealed alternative answers for a neighboring state? Clearly it's cheating to look at another source, including the cited source. You could also say the same for alternative answers for other states that you didn't already know or think of. However, you could also argue that using this info revelaed through your correct answers to previous questions is part of legitimate quiz-taking strategy. Thoughts?

I would consider it cheating personally. Now when we are talking about the quiz which has all the us counties with like 30000 answers, which is nearly impossible to finish. I would not really. Because those that might (nearly) finish, did so by practicing the quiz, and not knowing all the counties by heart beforehand (there might be the savant exception). But for this quiz it is not unreasonable at all to know all these rivers or atleast 1 out of 5 for each state. Especially for those that are american.

Btw I would say definitely don't do it for your first attempt, as it would skew the result for other people. If after that you would wish to improve your score by using this tactic, I would say go ahead. In that light it would feel more like tactical, first testing your actual knowledge and then the sport of trying to improve your score/finish the game. Which is your own business and own conscience and imo should not weigh as heavily on it as normal/actually cheating.

In short, test what the quiz is designed to test. Then try to improve/finish it your own way.

I think you should at the very least try to get as much as possible without. If I was the quizmaker, I would do everything to try and hide those answers (like making the answer that shows just the name of the state, and then just accepting river names), and since this is fairly easy I would assume the quizmaker doesn't mind people doing your strategy. It should be said that there are places where you cant get through a border that way, so you need at least one river in each region of the map.

Far northeast and southeast states were the only problem here for a non-American.

Well, hardly! It's pretty much opened up to be tidal, ship navigable Delaware Bay by the time it gets to the Blue Hen State. I'm not complaining, though. The rest are pretty dinky.
