Eurovision Host Cities

Since 1956, there have been 46 different host cities for the Eurovision Song Contest (as of 2026). Can you guess them all?

Based on: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_host_cities_of_the_Eurovision_Song_Contest
Within each country, the host cities are ordered by the number of times each city hosted the contest. If two cities of the same country hosted the contest the same number of times, the order is alphabetical.

As much as I abhor the Eurovision Song Contest, this is a good quiz; really fun to guess.

I feel the same! When it's not the capital area of those countries, it's really fun to guess which cities were able to host, especially for the earlier contests. Agree to disagree about the contest though, but thanks for the feedback!

I like it! I do have to wonder about the title, as some of these places aren't cities at all, but perhaps I should take that up with Wikipedia...

Oh, what do you mean, which ones? I actually thought all of them were cities, maybe I can make a caveat for the outliers

Just off the top of my head, Harrogate and Mill Street. There may be others but I don't think so. Brighton wasn't a city at the time but it is now!

What possessed them to send the contest to Harrogate I have no idea. It's no surprise that the show began with "Où est Harrogate? Wo ist Harrogate? Hvor er Harrogate?" etc.

At the time (1982) Harrogate had a newly built convention centre that ticked all the boxes at a time when the BBC were trying to diversify to other parts of the country than London.
