This quiz indicates one of the reasons of high population density in India, that that the land is extremly fertile. India is 1/4 th size of China but has almost the same population. You can grow crops almost anywhere in India with predicatable monsoon season that will nautrally irrigate the crops. That is why India has been historically densly populated.

I actually was hoping for all the countries within a wide radius of the Aral Sea if they drained it supposedly for irrigation.
