Name the most famous currently living person from 120 country in the world based on my opinion.
Some answers will be obvious – others might be surprising. In most cases, these are actors, politicians, or athletes who are internationally recognized.
Hints are available for each country (profession and gender).
These are based on global recognition and current relevance as of 2025. Suggestions welcome!
Nationality is based on the country the person is best known for, regardless of birthplace or citizenship. In unclear cases, the country where they built their career or have strongest public ties is chosen.
The quiz may include retired individuals from the given profession, marked with an *.
The person's main profession, as they are most commonly known, is highlighted. For athletes, the specific sport is also included for clarity.

I enjoyed the quiz despite only scoring 20% and despite the obvious sporting bias in your selection. I particularly liked the entries for Venezuela and Estonia - both great musicians. I would suggest that for Norway, a chess player is rather better known than the footballer you included - and you also have more footballers than chess players at present. Finally, Pope Francis is dead. Long live Pope Leo.

Thanks, but I’m not sporting-biased, global fame today just happens to be dominated by athletes, especially footballers — that’s why there are many footballers. Haaland is much more globally recognized than Carlsen, even if the latter is great in his field. And yeah, Vatican is fixed! Thanks for playing!
