Vermont is smaller than Massachusetts, so at least one of NY-MA and NY-VT is calculated wrong.

I think NY-MA should be 5.2 (54,556/10,565) and NY-VT should be 5.7 (54,556/9,616)

Massachusetts' total area is larger than Vermont's, but Vermont's land area (which excludes the water area within the state) is larger than Massachusetts' land area. And this quiz refers to land area, not total area. So VT is (47,126/9217) = 5.1, and MA is (47,126/7800) = 6. Nevertheless, both states make it on the list, but this quiz just refers to the land area, not the total area.

Great quiz! Though I'm not sure how Texas manages to be the 2nd most guessed state, while the three states it borders are the three least guessed.
