The Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea was an exiled government established in 1919 after the annexation of the Korean Peninsula by Japan, and it is known as the sanctuary of the Korean national independence movement. On August 15, 1945, Korea gained independence and 3 years later Republic of Korea was established, which we call South Korea now.
