All I did was make a whammy for each letter A-Z and added the yellow box!

Oh so when you put a yellow box, even if the letter is a whammy it will count as correct?

Yes, and only for that box. So for Mexico if you typed M twice, the first M would be correct but the second would be wrong, so you'd use up a whammy.
