Founder Members of the English Football League

Can you name the 12 clubs that competed in the first season of the Football League in 1888–89?
One of these clubs no longer exists. Another later added “City” to its name.
All of these clubs are/were located in the Midlands or North West of England.

All these clubs exist. Notts County are the only club not in the Football League.

Hi Mike.

Accrington is the club that no longer exists - the current Accrington Stanley and the previous Stanley (1891-1966) are different to Accrington F.C. (1878-96), the team that is listed here.
