Normally I don't write comments this long, but I feel like I have to for once...
5.5 million people, most of whom were innocent civilians, dying in a battle is absolutely devastating. I read a statistic that if someone was born a male in the USSR in 1923, they would only have a 20% chance of living to their 23rd birthday (1946). Because of this incredible loss of life, the populations of Russia and the other Soviet republics have still not been able to recover since WWII. Every 25-30 years, there is a massive shrinkage in population due to all the "unborn" children of the next generation. The former Soviet republics are now undergoing a third shrinkage in population, because today, there are millions of "unborn" great-great grandchildren of the males that died during the war. This loss of life is unbelievable, especially considering that it was all caused by two madmen...
Hello, I was wondering since i was already making a quiz on nearly the same topic, would you give me permission to make one which is larger (including Dieppe Raid and Smolensk as an example) as i had done finished like 70% of it? I was asking as you had already made a quiz, so it would be most appropriate to take permission!
