anthony is a silly man, youd think from his album ratings that Denzel and JID would be here, and drake would never even come close

He made this list a couple years before The Forever Story dropped so JID really wouldn't have been in the conversation yet, and I imagine Denzel was a near-miss. Drake's placement largely comes down to his multiple classic projects (Take Care, Nothing Was the Same, IYRTITL), his dominance as a hitmaker, and his influence over the genre as a whole. Fantano throws love Drake's way every now and then; he named Hotline Bling as one of the 100 best songs of the 2010s. Obviously Drake doesn't have the sharpest pen, but as Fantano stated, he's valuing more things than just pengame. I think it's a fair placement, especially pre-Kendrick beef

I was gonna put like half of the rappers i didn't get but i didn't just cause i thought he wouldn't have put them in💔 Like seriously billy woods in 2020?
