The most guessed Countries and the most guessed Capitals were compiled into a list. The difference between their percentage guessed (%) was calculated. Can you name the Countries which were guessed at least 30% more often than their Capital?

Feels like totally unexpected random answers. But looking closer, I guess the capital one was done by people that were quite good (more than knowing vienna and bucharest) at it and only the obscure ones scored low. Though that makes me wonder why rabat for instance is there)
Yeah, for sure. As soon as I saw Niger near the top, I went "Ohhh that makes sense! People are going for Nigeria, and just getting Niger 'for free' - but when it comes to Niamey, yeah you actually have to know that."
A similar king of thing likely going on for the Congos - plenty of people can just type "Congo", and get two of them quickly; but knowing both capitals is harder.
Madacascar, Ivory Coast, and Sri Lanka make sense not because people don't necessarily "know" the capitals, but more that the spelling is tricky (not everyone knows about the 'Kotte' shortcut for Sri Lanka, and not every quiz accepts the 'SJK' shortcut). Hence Madagascar being at the top also tracks.
Sure I can imagine a bunch of people think the capital is Johannesburg and might have to think a bit when that comes up empty. But Cape Town shouldn't be that hard...?
Especially when you have three tries at it (granted almost anyone who knows Bloemfontein is also going to know at least one of the other two, so it wouldn't help much, but still...). Definitely feel like I'm missing something with South Africa. It's not one I expected to see here at all.
