Oh no! There's only 15 random countries left in the world and they've all gone into hiding! Can you find all 15 by clicking the map to zoom-in, revealing the countries?
Every time I take this quiz I come up with a set of 5 that I can't verify. I get stumped by at least one set and after time is up I look for a reference and I can't find any set of data that confirms the reported answers, and in fact sometimes I find data that is completely contradictory. For example, every dataset I can find says that Sweden, Norway, and Finland have the most islands of any country, and it's not even close, yet none are in the list. I couldn't find anything confirming the safest roads list, the data was all over the place and no lists I found aligned with what is here.
Correct, as is mentioned in the description. Many are from the "groups of 5" quizzes on JetPunk too. E.g. here is the quiz for Countries with the most islands
Ah, so the problem is that the category titles here are incomplete. The category in this quiz simply says most islands, while the source quiz says most islands over 10 sq km.
Ah yes, that would be problematic. The issue is by including that sort of data in the category titles, you'd end up with too long category names :P
I'm considering compiling together a spreadsheet of all the categories, their source quiz, and that quiz's source. Although it'll surely take me time to do this if I decide to
Netherlands has an enormous agriculture sector and is second largest exporter of food in the world. They've figured out a way to pack a bunch of greenhouses onto their land and make them incredibly productive. I'm not completely sure if this is why they can produce so many oranges, but it seems plausible.
The Netherlands is not a major producer of citrus fruits, they are however a major importer and distributor of oranges. If the question was solely about production they wouldn't be close to making the list but when it comes to exports their shipping industry pulls them up the ranking.
Rotterdam is the largest port in Europe so the Dutch often punch above their weight in import/exports.
The EC publish pretty comprehensive studies https://circabc.europa.eu/ui/group/a6df5bd5-efdf-40cc-a42d-8292eedd0201/library/44515718-3632-47e0-8280-4a7409755a5e/details?open=true, the Netherlands don't even make the list as a producer but they do import three times more oranges from South Africa then the rest of the EU combined and then ship them on to Germany, France, the UK and Poland.
When I saw 'minimum altitude', I assumed it meant highest minimum altitude. Everything else is clear using superlatives (smallest population, biggest economy etc.) so maybe 'lowest point' would be better.
I like that I can take this several times, and some of the categories are unusual. But really, NIGER is more polluted than, say, Belgium or Germany? How?
Not sure if it makes any difference to the actual quiz, but when it says lowest average rainfall, does that count all precipitation (including snow etc.) or just rain?
You have to update the highest muders, El Salvador is not first now and in fact its at the level of Belgium and Sweden. A 98% decrease of murders compared to 2015

Loved it.. :)
