They are named for Benjamin Lincoln, revolutionary war general

Lincoln County, GA and Lincoln County, NC were named for Benjamin Lincoln.

Lincoln Parish, LA and Lincoln County, MS were named for Abraham Lincoln. Both were formed and named by the Reconstruction governments, before the Confederate-sympathizing majority in those states took back over.
