I find it quite interesting that a lot of these end up being on the very edge of countries. A few factors might explain these:

1. The sea is pretty useful as a driver of the economy

2. Bordering countries may be wealthier and easier to get to for workers

3. Countries in Europe are pretty small, so it is difficult to avoid borders nearby.

Your dot in Iceland marks the location of Akureyri, not Kopavogur. IMO, Akureyri is actually the correct answer since Kopavogur is merely a suburb of Reykjavik.
