Colorado is the next closest state with 130 sightings. British Colombia has the most of any Canadian province with 134. Alaska comes in at only 22 reports probably as a result of having a low human population. Interestingly, Malaysia actually beats Alaska with 36 reports, although the only sources they have are a bunch of dead links to media articles from 2006.
