The actual name is "karesansui" meaning dry landscape. It is not technically called a Zen Garden but is often referred to as that. They are called Japanese Rock Gardens.

The picture depicts a karesansui garden, or "Japanese rock garden". To depict the whole philosophy, religious thought and concept known as "zen" with a picture of a karesansui is ridiculous. The creator should've at least written a clue like with the other pictures.

Do you have a suggestion for a single image which can depict the whole philosophy, religious thought and concept known as "zen"?

この写真は枯山水や日本式庭園のように見えます。

禅宗とは仏教の宗派のうちの一つであり、庭園のを表す言葉ではありません。(京都の龍安寺などが有名です)

This photo looks like a dry landscape garden or Japanese garden.

Zen(Zenshu) is a secut of Buddhism, not a term that describes a garden.(Ryoanji of Kyoto is famous for it.)

Since you included long 'o' in 'Shinzou', you can also add it in 'Hokkaidou', Kyouto' and 'Shintou'.

You should accept Rock Garden for Zen. That is the correct term. They are often called Zen Gardens but for the simplistic form, they ARE called Rock Gardens.

I've lived in Japan for years and I have never heard about the monkeys in Nagano being called "macaques" (which to my understanding, just comes from a word for monkey in Portuguese/French), and I definitely never heard of the rock gardens being referenced to as Zen gardens.
