Very interesting trivia. I've seen antipodal maps before but couldn't remember the 2 central states.

I personally was surprised to learn just how few islands there are in the entire part of the Indian Ocean antipodal to the contiguous United States. Île Saint-Paul, Île Amsterdam, and Kerguelen, and that's it.
