Could one argue that Myanmar should not be on this list since the name was changed by an illegitimate government that took power in a military coup? Therefore we ought to continue to call it Burma.

Yes, that's absolutely right! I do agree with you that we should continue to call it Burma because of this however, since the United Nations defaults to calling it Myanmar in recognizing the current power holders, I'm just going to go off of what the UN says. Hopefully this is an ok response/reasoning, and I hope you enjoyed the quiz besides this controversy!
