I'm also not sure you should say "mistaken for vegetable" because those fruits are very much vegetables, in the culinary sense. It'd be better to have a caveat saying that you are referring to the botanical definition of a fruit.
I've never heard anyone call a macadamia a "macadamia nut." In any case, just "macadamia" should be accepted.
