I don't fully understand the question. Could you expand on it? For instance, why is USA not included (Alaska seems pretty separate, not to mention Hawaii)? Why is St Kitts & Nevis included but not Bahamas? Both have several islands. What qualifies Argentina for inclusion? And the two bits of Turkey are surely connected (by a bridge)? If Brunei is there because of its exclave, then why not Angola, or Spain, or Canada, or Belgium? And if Cyprus is there because it is partitioned, then why not Georgia or Moldova or Ukraine?
I am really happy for that question, even though it is much easier to understand than you think it is.
The quiz includes countries that are splitted up into two parts, which you have unterstood well, however, there can ONLY be two parts, not 3 or more (like the USA (contiguous, Alaska, Hawai'i)). The borders need to be natural borders, not man-made, that's why I included Turkey in favor of e.g. Panama, which has the Panama Canal, a man-made one. Argentina is included because Tierra del Fuego is not connected to the mainland.
Lastly, I understand your point with Brunei in favor of Angola, Spain etc. Darussalam, the exclave, has a special political status, like an own region, province or anything similar, Angola doesn't, Spain and Canada have more than two, Canada also touches the provinces. Cyprus and Turkey aren't proper borders, but split up, and so not connected, by the UN, Georgia and the others aren't, and don't have such borders.

I still thank you a lot with the comment.
