An infielder whose position is between second and third base.

Shortstop
A baseball pitch that is not hit fair or that passes through a certain area over home plate without being hit and that counts against the batter.

Strike
The area over home plate from the midpoint between a batter's shoulders and the top of the uniform trousers -- when the batter is in his stance and prepared to swing at a pitched ball -- and a point just below the kneecap.
