A country code top-level domain (ccTLD) is an Internet top-level domain generally used or reserved for a country, sovereign state, or dependent territory. All ASCII ccTLD identifiers are two letters long (lowercase), and all two-letter top-level domains are ccTLDs.
From the hints given (ccTLD, continent, an indication of whether the location is a sovereign state and — in some cases — an explanation), guess the location to which the ccTLD has been delegated by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA).

The letters of the ccTLD are the first letters of (1) the name of the archipelago the location is the lion’s share of — the island of Guam also sits in the archipelago, but is administered separately and has its own ccTLD; and (2) the first letter of the ocean in which the archipelago lies.

The location’s name begins with “B,” but the name does not contain a “j.” When this location’s ccTLD was allocated in 1996, “B” ccTLDs followed by any of the other three letters that occur in this location’s name had already been allocated to Belgium, Brunei and Burundi. Perhaps coincidentally, the letters “b” and “j” occur in that order in the name of the city that was the location’s capital at the time the ccTLD was allocated. (A new capital was designated in 2019.)
