Tweety, a canary, and Sylvester the cat, Tweety’s nemesis. They were two of many characters who appeared in animated shorts in Warner Bros.’ Loony Tunes and Merrie Melodies franchises from 1930 until 2014. Tweety and Sylvester’s first appearance was in 1947. Many of their shorts were broadcast on network and syndicated television beginning in the 1950s.
