The hints for each film consist of the following: the year the film was commercially released; the name(s) of the film’s director(s); an abridged list of the film’s cast; the IMDb summary of the film’s plot (some of which have been edited by the quiz author).

Some of the film titles are proper nouns.
Excluded: Titles that are acronyms or initialisms (e.g., M*A*S*H, C.H.U.D.) and other titles with non-alphabetic characters (e.g., Se7en, 300) other than final punctuation.
