Really like this Scrambled series, it's interesting how easily obfuscated words can become. The trick is looking for the words within the words.

Always confused by the frequency of "Xeroxing" on this site, a word I've never seen in a dictionary. It's a present tense form of a trademark? The word pool for X is shallow admittedly!

The verb “to xerox” is frequently used in the U.S. in place of “to photocopy.” Xerox was at one time the only/principal player in that market, and the company name became synonymous with the activity.

I imagine this is analogous to the use of the verb “to hoover” in the U.K. in place of “to vacuum,” even if you’re using a Dyson vacuum sweeper or other brand.
