The family moved to(Redcliffe, Queensland, Australia in 1958 where they started to use the name Bee Gees. They signed a record contract in Brisbane but returned to the UK in 1967 where they signed a new contract.

the Dakotas were a backing band formed in Manchester in the beginning of the 60s. In 1963 they started to play with the singer Billy J. Kramer from Liverpool. The band name was changed and big success followed for both parts.
